Project Brief:
The most recognized name in the industry, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, stands as the stylish, forward thinking global leader of hospitality. With over 92 years of experience, Hilton continues to be synonyous with hotels because of its innovative approach to products, amenities and service. There are more than 540 Hilton hotels and resorts in 78 countries across six continents, and the numbers keep increasing steadily each year. It is therefore crucial to Hilton to find an efficient way of building hotels, which could significantly fulfill their enormous demand of opening new hotels. As the world leading modular building provider, CIMC MBS is the partner of choice to meet their expectations.
In March 2014 the Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport project was awarded to CIMC Developments after several months of detailed discussions. It boosted CIMC MBS to hit a more significant milestone since it is the first full CIMC Development project in the UK. This is another project that CIMC MBS will play the role of the main contractor and supplier.
This hotel is located at Bristol Airport and consists of 201 rooms. The building is designed to be 4 floors formed with 117 modules. All the modules will be 100% internally completed with decoration, furniture and all fittings in the factory, which will achieve high efficiency of the onsite construction. The internal fit-out is strictly in accordance with the Hilton's new design standard. Through our rigorous control procedures, CIMC MBS is capable of delivering factory controlled quality.
Design Features:
As the first Hampton by Hilton producted using our V system, this project has set the benchmark in terms of compliance with Hilton's strict design and construction standards.
The two linear wings of this hotel has allowed us to develop a standard Hampton module size and type that can be replicated in future projects; bringing the benefits of a mass manufacturing philosophy construction industry.
Due to the proximity of the airport a secondary glazed unit was designed into the facade which meant this could factory fitted and therefore all bedrooms could be finished around the window reveal. Wherever possible we would look to supply and fit windows in our factory to reduce the need for site operatives to enter a full finished room.
